The beautiful scenery spreads out around the foot of Mt. Myoko, one of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains. The hotel serves meals made with seasonal ingredients. The onsen may contain black or white specks known as yuka. These are not impurities, but part of a phenomenon seen with onsen containing beneficial materials. The baths here are free-flowing from the source; the water has not been filtered, over-heated, diluted or recirculated.
